I am a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Studio Art emphasis candidate for graduation this Spring semester at Tarleton State University. It is a requirement of this degree that I hold an art exhibition before graduation. I elected to curate a group art show outside of campus instead of displaying solely my own artwork at school. In my near future I will begin a Master's degree program in Curatorial Studies out of state. I aspire to complete an Art History PhD program. This will be the second show I've organized in preparing my graduate program application packet.

Don't be shy! I hope for the work in this show to confront viewers with emotional baggage and/or your life's history. I feel perpetually in the process of analyzing and untangling my family and hometown's impact on me and how I relate to them after that; I hope for others' work to vicariously put that on display.

This exhibition will cast a shared understanding of what we carry around from our exceptional, and even still universal, individual backgrounds.
