12th Annual TAC Juried Exhibit

The 12th Annual TAC Juried Exhibit is open to all TAC members with active accounts. All disciplines are eligible with no theme. The Texas Artists Coalition is a membership program designed to offer benefits for artists in the North Texas community. The mission of the TAC is to support career development of artists, whether they are emerging or established, amateur or professional. Programs of the TAC are supported by the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center and a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts.

Ann Ekstrom is a Fort Worth painter from a family of artists. She was raised in the art-oriented household of her mother, the late painter and printmaker, early Texas artist Beth Lea Clardy.
 She holds a BFA in Painting from Texas Christian University. She also studied at the museum school of the Fort Worth Art Center, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia and studied with her mentor, Vincent Mariani, at The University of Texas at Austin. She has taught painting for many years - for museum programs, continuing education at TCU for 10 years and in her studio with a large and varied group of students. She lectures and teaches workshops in monotype, classical oil painting technique and practical use of color for painters. She co-curated a number of shows dealing with contemporary and early Texas art.
 In 2010 her work and her mother’s were shown together in “Full Bloom” at The Grace Museum in Abilene, TX. Her solo shows have included ” Conversations, Situations and Meditations“ at Baylor University’s Martin Museum of Art in 2011 and in 2013 at Artspace 111 in Fort Worth. Her work was included in “ The Real Show” at The Old Jail Art Center in Albany Texas in 2015and she taught painting at Baylor University during the 2015-16 school year as Artist-in-Residence. She is represented by Artspace 111.
